What made you choose interior design as a career?
I am a strategic planner, chronic organizer and I love puzzles. You’ll often hear me say, “I’m not as good with words, let me show you.” Design is a form of communicating; it is creative problem solving and a means of expression. The ability to design something that moves others and evokes emotion excites me.
What tips do you have for customers looking for a new furniture piece?
Find the most comfortable and practical pieces for your family and then dress them up and accessorize to your hearts content. You can make the most beautiful room in the world, but if it doesn’t fulfill your needs, what is the point? It’s my job to make sure you can have both.
How do you determine the right style for your customers?
Through a process of elimination. Starting with the basics then showing more daring options and patterns. Even the excitement for one specific pattern can be very telling and help guide the design process.
